Background:
EM Law is a commercial law firm based in White Collar Factory, Shoreditch, London. Established in 2013 with one lawyer, one paralegal and one client we have grown to a team of 17 lawyers and support staff serving a rapidly growing client base in the UK and internationally.
Most of our clients are SMEs offering software, technology and data solutions but we also serve clients in other industries such as the aid-funded business sector and the leisure, recruitment, and engineering industries.
The vision of our founder and director is to create a law firm that is a great environment for its staff and clients to work together in. Where standards are high and we work hard while at the same time we have fun and we support each other.
Role:
We are looking for a junior to mid-level lawyer to join our team, with significant experience gained in two or more of the following areas:
- Commercial Contracts
- Software / Technology Contracts
- Data Protection
You will be joining a small bubbly team in the White Collar Factory working alongside our director. Our aim is to grow the full-time team steadily over the next few years so you will be joining the firm at an exciting time where you can help shape our growth and influence the dynamic of our team. We are ambitious and driven and serving our clients well is an absolute priority but we also want to have fun and make the most of what our surroundings have to offer.
Requirements:
We are looking for someone who is driven, friendly, interesting and a good listener; with excellent academics and an entrepreneurial spirit. You will see the role as an opportunity to throw yourself into something with all sorts of potential, rather than a 9 to 5.
You will be a solicitor, qualified to practice in England & Wales with between circa 2-5 years PQE experience, some of which should ideally have been gained in the UK in a private practice law business (but applicants with other suitable experience will also be considered).
You must be able to work with minimal supervision, take on responsibility and be calm under pressure. You must care deeply about providing our clients with excellent service putting their needs first.
