As well as supporting clients with all aspects of their UK business we have unique expertise in helping clients operate internationally and in particular in the emerging and frontier markets.
We helped our client with the purchase of reseller telecoms contracts. This involved the transfer of hundreds of contracts which had to be done rapidly and with minimum disruption to the business of our client, the reseller and the reseller’s customers.
We helped a company’s shareholders (individuals based overseas) sell their UK registered business. The law firm’s clients were individuals based in Italy who were the shareholders of the company.
We helped a UK technology business participating in a US tender. This involved advising our client on its contract with the lead US company, protecting the intellectual property in our client’s platform and helping our client with structuring its business in the US.
We helped our client put in place a SaaS agreement Formula 1 Management. Our client was a high-growth software start-up based in California.
Our client had spent considerable time negotiating complex intellectual property rights clauses with a subcontractor. We spent half a day resolving the situation.
EM law helped a shareholder (who had fallen out with her other shareholder) exit from the business with all of the money that she had invested in the business.
EM Law was engaged by a foreign company to help them with the share purchase of a UK company which had a branch office in Africa. We advised on all aspects of the deal.
