Imogen specialises in contentious and non-contentious employment law. Having gained a first class LLB at BPP and Kaplan Law Schools, Imogen joined Mayer Brown International LLP as a trainee in 2009 where she qualified and stayed as a senior associate until November 2016. While at Mayer Brown, Imogen spent 6 months on secondment at Marsh UK, an insurance brokerage firm, where she supported the in-house team and gained invaluable commercial experience.
Since qualifying as a solicitor, Imogen has advised clients across a wide range of sectors on all aspects of the employment relationship, from recruitment to managing exits.
Non-contentious / advisory
Specific areas of Imogen’s experience include contract, handbook and policy reviews; drafting and negotiating contracts with senior executives; drafting and advising on settlement agreements; providing advice on day-to-day issues facing HR professionals; and management of multi-jurisdictional projects.
Contentious legal experience
Imogen has conducted litigation in Employment Tribunals, the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) and the High Court, advising on all aspects of contentious matters; from the receipt of the claim, to attendance at hearings or alternative resolution outside the tribunal.
Imogen has represented clients on a wide range of claims involving unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, victimisation and breach of contract.
Legal corporate support experience
Imogen has supported share purchases, asset purchases and outsourcing deals, by undertaking due diligence to highlight areas of employment-related risk, and drafting relevant provisions for the transaction documentation.
Imogen has extensive experience delivering training programmes and interactive seminars to clients.
